An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. There were 43 children in care, with a total of 4 staff members assigned to their direct supervision. Children's records, staff training records, background checks, the indoor/outdoor physical plant, administrative documents, and emergency preparedness items were inspected today. The children were observed playing outside on the playground as well as playing outdoor large group games. The children were to be served cereal and juice for snack later today. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-240-A Description: Based on a review of staff training documentation, it was determined that there is no documentation showing the full completion of orientation training for 2 staff members. Evidence: There is no documentation of completed "Recognizing Child Abuse and Neglect" training for staff B and staff D. Plan of Correction: They both did the training but the documentation was not printed for the file. I will get each staff person's completion certificate and update their training records after spring break next week.
