Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted today, April 16, 2019. The on-site inspection was from 10:45 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. On this date, there were 51 children present and in the care of 16 staff members. Two additional staff members were available to assist if needed. There were 63 children enrolled in the center. The violations from the previous inspection were checked for compliance. There were eight staff members' records reviewed, six children's records reviewed, and eight classrooms toured. Three of those classrooms were observed. There were eight staff members interviewed. There was no medication on-site or being administered. Lunch was observed to meet USDA guidelines and consisted of whole wheat biscuits, turkey sausage, mixed vegetables, peaches, and milk. The current theme Growing Gardens. There were no violations of the licensing standards found. Some of items reviewed and observed during the visit included: required posted information, injury reports, warm water temperature, review of infant documentation, documentation of evacuation and shelter-in-place drills, updated injury prevention plan, diaper ointments and parent authorizations, outdoor play, language art activities, story time, puzzles, musical activities, infant care and feeding, diapering procedures, hand washing procedures, lunch, nap time, afternoon snack and dismissal procedures.
