An unannounced Renewal Inspection was conducted today from 8:35am to 10:40am. There were 57 children from infants to school-agers directly supervised by 11 staff. The physical plant, 4 staff records, 7 children?s records, 0 children's medications and medication authorization records(no change from previous visit), evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed arriving to care, participating in group and individual play, listening to stories, playing outside, and playing on the computer. There was a sufficient supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-520-C Description: Based on observation, the facility did not ensure that diaper ointments or creams are labeled. Evidence: Observed in the Two's Room 5, diaper cream not labeled with the child's name. Plan of Correction: Corrected at the time of the visit.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-560-G Description: Based on observation, the facility did not ensure that food brought from home is clearly labeled, identifying the owner and dated. Evidence: Observed in the Twos Room (4) a lunch box with food in it that was not dated. Plan of Correction: Corrected at the time of the visit.
