An unannounced mandated Renewal inspection was conducted today from 12:30pm to 2:00pm. There were 147 children 42 staff present during this inspection. Children were observed playing soccer, playing outside on the playground, napping, toileting and handwashing, setting up for snack, and being picked up and arriving. Reviewed 5 staff files, attendance, emergency evacuation log and supplies, 8 outdoor playgrounds and physical plant. Violations of the Standards are recorded on the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-H Description: Based on observation, purses containing cosmetics, medications, or other harmful agents were stored accessible to children. Evidence: Observed four classrooms with purses hanging on the back of the classroom door, accessible to children. Plan of Correction: I will send out an email reminding staff to lock up their purses.
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1721.1-B-2 Description: Based on record review, officers and agents of the corporation did not submit fingerprints to the national background check for clearance. Evidence: Officer#1-4 did not have the required national fingerprint background clearance letters. Plan of Correction: We will have them get fingerprinted and send you the clearance letters.
