Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on April 17, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. This on-site visit was conducted from 3:00 p.m. through 5:15 p.m. and April 22, 2019 from 12:10 p.m. through 1:00 p.m. There were thirty-seven children in the care of six staff. No medication is being administered at the present. Five children's records were reviewed. Five staff and two administrative staff records were reviewed and updated. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. Areas observed were: free choice, outside play, homework, hand washing/bathroom procedures, snack and pick-up. Interactions between the children and staff were observed as appropriate and the children seem comfortable with the daily routine and schedule. Please contact me at 540-430-9256 if you have any questions and/or if I may be of assistance with licensing standards.
