Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on April 25, 2019, between the hours of approximately 9:45 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Fifty-nine (59) children were enrolled and twenty-two (22) children were in the care of four staff members, in four classrooms, during the on site inspection. Two additional staff members were present and assisted, as needed. Five children's records and six staff records were reviewed and/or updated. Four children's medications, two children's topical ointments and accompanying authorization forms were reviewed. Posted information (license, inspection documentation, weekly menu, emergency evacuation diagram and plan, emergency telephone numbers and classroom schedules) and facility documents (emergency evacuation drill/shelter-in-place drill/lockdown drill records, infant daily records, attendance records, injury report forms, insurance verification and local agency inspection reports ) were observed/reviewed. The daily schedules accurately reflected the activities provided and the posted menu identified the lunch served on this date (spaghetti, green beans, applesauce and milk). Observed staff/child interactions were positive and supportive of children's growth and development. The facility was observed to be clean and supplied with a variety of age/stage appropriate learning and play materials/toys. Children's artwork/crafts were displayed in the classrooms. Program observation was completed. Activities provided on this date included: infant care; indoor play; outdoor play; restroom, diapering and handwashing procedures; lunch; naptime; and arrival of school-age children. One exception to compliance was noted on the current violation notice. Thank you for your time and assistance during this inspection. Please contact me if you have concerns regarding this inspection, the licensing standards and/or if I may be of assistance to you (540) 430-9262.

Plan of Correction: A mixer will be installed today to ensure the water temperature remains at or below 120 degrees F.
