Discussed ways for staff to continue actively supervising children while greeting parents during the busy pick up time at the end of the day.
An unannounced complaint investigation regarding record keeping, the indoor/outdoor physical plant, classroom supervision, age-appropriate practices, and injury reporting was conducted today. The Inspector completed staff interviews, observations, and a review of administrative documents today. After careful review of all available information, this complaint was deemed not valid. The investigation into the Standards addressed in this complaint did not result in any violations. However, one violation not directly related to the Standards addressed in this complaint was cited. Ongoing compliance with the Minimum Standards is the responsibility of the licensee. The Inspector was on site today from approximately 12:30pm - 2:15pm. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Complaint related: No Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that one record was not complete. Evidence: Child record A does not include the information for a second emergency contact person. Plan of Correction: The child is no longer in care, effective last week. While enrolled, the parent was asked many times to provide the missing information.
