A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 04/25/19 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Licensing Inspector arrived at 8:30am and departed at 10:00am to conduct a Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection. At the time of the tour there were 19 children in care with 4 staff present. A sample of 2 children and 3 new staff records were reviewed. A tour of the cafeteria and gym, which is occasionally used was given by the program director. Children were preparing to be escorted to their classrooms for the regular school day. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-770-B-5 Description: Based on a record review the vendor did not have a procedure that addressed the continuity of operations and how essential functions are maintained during an emergency. Evidence: The vendor did not have a procedure in their emergency plan to address the continuity of operations and maintaining of essential functions during an emergency. The director stated the program does not have this procedure and is still working in it. Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the program director: The program director will contact the supervisor for assistance with creating this procedure.
