A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from approximately 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The census for today's inspection consisted of 24 children and five staff including administrative staff to assist as needed. The licensing inspectors observed the children in care completing a variety of activities to include eating snack, completing homework, interacting with peers and staff, engaged in activities to include puzzles and coloring activities, and taking bathroom breaks. The program's snack for today consisted of trail mix and apple juice. The facility's playground area, bathrooms areas, and classrooms/materials were inspected. There were six children?s records and three staff's record reviewed during this inspection. The required posting were inspected. The Department has not yet received a complete renewal application and annual fee from the center. The Department must receive a complete renewal application and fee prior to expiration of the license on 6/22/19 or the Department cannot renew the license. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. If you have any questions about this inspection, please contact your licensing inspector, Tiffany Harris, at (757) 403-3045.
