*Someone with Medication Administration Training must be on site at all times when Child 3 is in care due to emergency medications on site.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted with center staff on May 1, 2019 to determine compliance with licensing standards. There were seven children ages 14 months to 23 months with two staff. There were sixteen children aged 2 with three staff. The children were having afternoon snack and playing outdoors on the playground. Snack served today: English muffin with jelly and juice. Five children's files and three staff files were reviewed - please see Supplemental Summary for details. Two medications for one child were reviewed. The last health inspection was conducted 7/11/2018. The last fire inspection was conducted 6/28/2018. Evacuation drills have been conducted monthly and the last shelter in place drill was conducted 1/25/2019. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-70-A Description: Based on review of three staff records, the facility failed to have documentation of two or more references as to character and competency for each staff prior to employment. Evidence: Staff 1 and Staff 2 did not have documentation of two or more references prior to employment. Plan of Correction: Center director will contact and document two references for Staff 1 and Staff 2.
