An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 7:50am-9:30am. There were 18 children present with 3 staff members at the start of the inspection, additional children arrived throughout the morning for a total of 41. The children were coloring, playing games, and then dismissed to their classrooms for the school day. The first aid kit, evacuation drills, emergency materials, staff training records, 4 children's records, 3 emergency medications, and the attendance were reviewed. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-240-D-1 Description: Based on a review of medications, prescription medications were present today but no staff were current in MAT training. Evidence: 1. There were three emergency prescription medications on site today, but the MAT trained staff present today had a certificate that expired on 2/18/19. Plan of Correction: I was supposed to go in February but it ended up being a snow day and I am still waiting for the training to be rescheduled. I will go asap.
Standard #: 22VAC40-80-120-E-2 Description: Based on observation, the most recent inspection of the facility was not posted. Evidence: 1. The inspection that was posted was dated 5/9/18, however, the most recent inspection of the facility was on 3/11/19. Plan of Correction: We will post the new one today.
