A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted today from 7:50am-9:30am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 18 children present with 3 staff members at the start of the inspection, additional children arrived throughout the morning for a total of 41. The children were coloring, playing games, and then dismissed to their classrooms for the school day. The first aid kit, evacuation drills, emergency materials, staff training records, 4 children's records, 3 emergency medications, and the attendance were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-520-B-11 Description: Based on a review of children's medication records today, there were no written allergy action care plans are required. Evidence: 1. There were three children with a documented food allergy that could require emergency medication, but there was no allergy action plan documented for Child #1, 2, and 3. Plan of Correction: We will make sure an allergy action is complete for each child with an allergy.
