Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspections was conducted on 05/06/2019 from 9:40 A.M. to 2:15P.M. to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the time of the inspection 55 children were in care with eight staff and two administrators present. Five children records, seven staff records, five injury reports, five medications and required documentation, health inspection, fire inspection, emergency plan, evacuation drills, first aid kits, emergency supplies, playground, injury prevention plan, playground safety plan, and posted required information was reviewed. Children were observed during handwashing, snack time, transitions, behavioral guidance, various Mother Day art activities, free choice activities that included building, coloring, dramatic play, outside gross motor play, lunchtime, and naptime. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
