Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on May 8, 2019, to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted after school today. There are 68 children present with 5 staff. 5 staff records were reviewed for specific items only, as the full file is reviewed at the main office at another time. 6 children's records were reviewed. All were complete. Medications, emergency escape drills, first aid supplies and emergency supplies are all in compliance. The playground was recently installed and had adequate mulch in the fall zones for climbing equipment. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact me at 703-479-4678 or at Sarah.Marbert@dss.virginia.gov. LI was present today from 3:25 PM - 5:00 PM. : A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
