A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 05/15/2019 from 9:05am to 2:05pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The children were observed playing with toys, participating in art projects, reviewing numbers, reviewing seasons and eating morning snack. A formal observation was completed with the Three year old and Two year old classrooms. The menu was posted. Interviews were held with staff throughout the inspection, and the inspector interacted with children in each classroom when appropriate. All classrooms and playgrounds were inspected today as well as the facility?s mini buses. Five children?s records and five employee records were reviewed during this inspection. The center administers medication; however they did not have any being given at this time. Eleven injury reports were reviewed. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Last emergency drill: 04/19/2019 Last shelter-in-place drill: 03/11/2019 Last health inspection: 05/09/19 Last fire inspection: 12/19/2018 Last lockdown drill: 04/23/2019 Today, the following child to staff ratios were observed: Infants ? 7:2 Toddlers ? 5:2 Twos ? 12:2 Threes ? 8:1 Fours - 7:1 A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection and are identified on the violation notice.
