63.2 Facilities & Programs.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today between approximately 8:30am and 10:30am. 72 children are enrolled with 12 staff members. Classroom ratios were in compliance. The physical space, 7 children's records, 5 staff records, evacuation drills, medications and required posted documents were reviewed. The space was well organized with an abundance of developmentally appropriate materials. Children's artwork decorated the walls in each classroom. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-C Description: Based on medication review, one medication was expired. Evidence: The medication for Child #1 expired January 2019. Plan of Correction: The Director contacted the parent and left a message while the Licensing Inspector was present. The medication will be returned to the parents today and the child will not be able to return to school without the updated medication.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-N Description: Based on record and medication review, one medication was kept on site with an expired Written Authorization form. Evidence: The Written Authorization form for Child #1 expired on 01/21/2019. Plan of Correction: The parent was contacted previously and was again contacted by the Director while the Licensing Inspector was present. The form will be updated right away.
