Complaint related: Yes
Description: Based on record review and staff interview, the center did not maintain one staff member for every eight children in the two year old classroom. Evidence: 1. On 5/9/19, a review of the attendance record for the older toddler (2 year olds) showed that between 7am to 7:45 am there were 5 children in the older toddler classroom. The record also indicated that between 8:10am to 9:00am there were a total of 20 children in the classroom. 2. Staff # 1 stated that Staff # 2 arrived to open the classroom at 7:00am. Staff # 1 stated that she went in the older toddler classroom to help from 7:45am to 8:10am. 3. Staff # 1 stated that 8:10am she left the classroom when Staff # 3 arrived at 8:00am as the classroom was in ratio. 4. The attendance record indicated that between 8:ooam to 9:00am there were a total of 20 2 year old children in the classroom. After Staff # 1 left the room at 8:10am, there were only two staff members with 13 children. 7 more children arrived to the classroom between 8:10am to 9:00am. Staff # 4arrived to the classroom at 9:00am.

Plan of Correction: We will work out schedules so that classrooms are not left over ratio.
