A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on May 15, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements This on-site visit was conducted from 11:00 a.m. through 2:20 p.m. There were sixty-one children in the care of eleven staff in six classrooms. The medication and medication paperwork was reviewed for one child. Seven children's and eleven staff records were reviewed and updated. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. Areas observed were: story-time, outside play, hand washing/bathroom and diapering procedures, educational choice activities, outside play, lunch and nap. Interactions between the children and staff were observed as appropriate and the children seemed comfortable with the daily routine and schedule.
