Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on (insert date) to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the time of inspection, 49 children three years through five years) were directly supervised by 7 staff and ratios were in compliance. The sample size consisted of 5 children records and 5 staff records. Children were observed participating in group play, listening to audio stories before napping, and eating lunch (tortilla, beans, cheese, corn, cinnamon apples, bananas, milk) Hand-washing procedures were also observed before and after lunch. There was an abudant supply of materials for the children. There was an adaquate number of staff with current certification in medication administration, CPR and First Aid, as well as daily health observation training. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
