You are reminded that one additional shelter in place drill is needed prior to the end of the school year.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted this date. A total of 26 children with 2 staff present today. The Inspector observed the children arriving for the program directly from their classroom. Children placed their personal belongings in their individual bins and sat down for attendance. Staff took attendance and discussed daily announcements. Children had the opportunity to present their announcements. Children discussed lacrosse and soccer games they participated over the weekend. Line up for bathroom and hand washing was observed. After washing hands, children selected their snacks provided or from their lunch boxes. Snack provided today was Scooby Do grams and Capri Sun. After snack, the children quietly completed homework or selected activities provided by staff such as word find, earth science matching worksheet, coloring books and drawing. Plans to transition to the outside playground were discussed. A total of 5 children's records were reviewed and CPR/First Aid training, medication training and daily health training were verified. Staff records are reviewed to include background checks annually at the administrative office. Previous violation from the last inspection was reviewed and corrective action was verified.
