An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on May 17, 2019 from 9:40am until 10:40am. Upon arrival to the facility, there were 70 children present with 12 staff members. The children were observed participating in age appropriate activities. A sample of 7 children's records and 7 staff records were reviewed. The licensing inspector toured the facility and reviewed supervision, emergency supplies, practice drills, nutrition, physical plant, required postings, and administration. There were no violations cited. An exit meeting was conducted with the facility director prior to the end of the inspection.

Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-B-2 Description: Based on record review and interview, the center failed to obtain a fingerprint background check for any staff who will be alone with, in control of, or supervising children prior to employment. Evidence: 1. There was no fingerprint background check on file for staff #6. a. Staff #6 has a hire date of 08/17/2018 and was observed caring for children in the licensed program during the inspection. 2. The program director confirmed that staff #6 did not have a fingerprint background check Plan of Correction: Will send staff for fingerprinting.
