An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 7:30am-8:45am. There were 45 school age children directly supervised by 3 staff. The physical plant, 3 staff records, 5 children?s records, 3 medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed completing a sewing project, participating in group play,dancing, playing a card game, reading books, using the computer and playing in the gym. There was an abundant supply of materials for the children. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-E Description: Based on record review, the center did not maintain a record of the dates of the practice drills for one year. Evidence: Drills conducted from January 2019 - May 2019 were not documented. Staff and children confirmed the drills were conducted. Plan of Correction: The drills were promptly documented from other records kept in the center.
