Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted from 12:30 - 3:30 with the director. There were 67 children in care, ranging from two months to five years of age, supervised by seven staff. Children were observed napping during today's inspection. Infants were observed sleeping, playing, eating and having a diaper change. Six children's records were reviewed and in compliance. Five staff records were reviewed and in compliance. Two medications were reviewed. Three vans, the emergency drill log, and the playground were observed and in compliance. The last health inspection was: 7/16/18 and the last fire inspection was: 4/29/19. Description: Based on observation, the facility failed to wash children's hands with soap and running water after diapering. Evidence: after diapering an infant, staff failed to wash the infant's hands with soap and running water until the LI stated the requirement.

Plan of Correction: Will retrain staff on diapering procedures and washing hands.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-G
Description: Based on review of two medications, the center did not have written authorization to administer medication to a child in care. Evidence: The center did not have a medication authorization form signed by a physician and parent for Child A's medication.

Plan of Correction: Will ask parent to provide the missing documentation.
