A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted from 8:00am-9:25am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 48 children in the direct care and supervision of 5 staff members. The first aid kit, emergency materials, evacuation drills, 5 children's records, 5 staff training records, and the physical plant were reviewed. The children were observed eating breakfast, coloring, building with legos, playing outside on the playground, and packing up to go to school. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
