Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. The preschool classrooms were inspected today. 4 staff and 4 children's records were reviewed. All were in compliance. Children were observed watching a show, reading books, during circle time and eating lunch. Emergency escape drills, shelter-in-place drills, first aid supplies and emergency supplies are all in compliance. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-C
Description: Based on a review of medication authorizations, one form is incomplete. Evidence: One medication authorization available for review was missing required components. Missing components include the physician's signature, and length of authorization. (Child 1)

Plan of Correction: A new form has been created including all components. The school nurse has reached out to the parent.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-J
Description: Based on direct observation, medications were not stored locked. Evidence: Medications stored in the JK classrooms were stored in a plastic box with a lid and a metal box. Neither were locked.

Plan of Correction: Medications will stored locked.
