Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 5/23/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 56 children (5-12yrs.) supervised by 5 direct care staff. The physical plant, 3 staff records, 6 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed transitioning into the SACC program and eating snack. There was an abundance of books, toys, and materials, which were found to be developmentally appropriate for the children in care at the time of inspection. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the Violation Notice. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Anansa Archer-Hicks at (703) 268-3295, or anansa.archer-hicks@dss.virginia.gov.
