Discussed annual updates for injury prevention procedures and emergency preparedness plan.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 12:00pm-2:15pm. There were 26 children (2-5yrs.) supervised by 4 direct care staff. The physical plant, 3 staff records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed eating lunch brought from home and having storytime. There was an abundance of books, toys, and materials, which were found to be developmentally appropriate for the children in care at the time of inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-D Description: Based on a review of emergency drill records, the center did not maintain documentation of a monthly practice for evacuation drills per year. Evidence: There was not documentation of a completed fire drill for November 2018. Plan of Correction: When fire drill and shelter-in-place drills are conducted back-to-back, we will enter them on two separate lines, as two separate instances.

Evidence: The inspection posted was dated 5/24/2018. The most recent inspection was conducted on 11/13/2018. Plan of Correction: The most recent inspection was on site in a file. We will post today's inspection today.
