- Technical Assistance:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on Friday, May 31, 2019 to determine the center's compliance with licensing standards. The inspection was initiated at 11:45am and concluded at approximately 1:20pm. There was one child in care today in the direct care of two staff. The center's director was present and assisted the inspector throughout the inspection. Upon arrival, one child was observed in care completing a numbers activity and learning addition. The staff were observed having positive interactions with the child in care. The center is equipped with age and stage appropriate materials and is decorated with the children's art and with various parent information boards. The following information was reviewed: program activities, supervision, staffing, and interactions with children, daily routines, posted information, drill records, and agency inspection reports. The center's first aid kit and non-emergency supplies were also inspected and found complete. There were two children's records and two staff's records reviewed during this inspection. Transportation is not provided at this time and medications not administered at the center. All staff on site have current CPR, First Aid, and Daily Health Observation training. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on a review of two children's records on 05/31/2019, the provider did not ensure that one record contained the required information. Evidence: 1) The record for Child #1 (DOE: 12/07/2018) did not contain the address for the second emergency contact listed. Each child record shall contain the name, address, and phone number of two designated people to call in an emergency if a parent cannot be reached. Plan of Correction: The address will be requested today.
