An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today before school. There were 2 staff and 29 children present by the end of the inspection. 4 children's records were reviewed, all were complete. 4 staff records were reviewed for specific information only, as the full record s reviewed at another time at the main office. Children were observed participating in a variety of activities in the classrooms. Emergency escape drills, first aid supplies, emergency supplies and age appropriate toys and games are all in compliance. LI as present this morning from 7:15 AM - 9:00 AM.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-340-C Description: Based on direct observation, there was not two staff present with children LI arrival (7:15 AM). Evidence: At 7:15 AM one staff member was present with 7 children. A second staff member arrived within 10 minutes. Plan of Correction: A staff person called out sick, and the second was held up in traffic. There are always 2 staff present, usually three.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-C Description: Based on a review of medications, authorizations are not available for two medications. Evidence: Child #2 has an Epi-pen on site with no authorization. Child #3 has ALlergy medication on site with no authorization available. Plan of Correction: I will have the parents bring in the paperwork.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-520-A Description: Based on a review of over-the-counter products, one product does not have an authorization available. Evidence: Child 1's Sunscreen does not have an authorization available. Plan of Correction: I will have the parent complete the authorization.
