Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted from 7:30am-9:15am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the start of the inspection there were 24 children and 28 more arrived throughout the morning for a total of 52 children. The children were observed reading, playing cards games, doing arts and crafts, and playing group games in the gym together. A sample of 4 children's records, 5 staff training records, 2 medications, the first aid kit, emergency materials, evacuation drills, and the physical plant were reviewed. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. If you have any questions, please contact me at shahana.green@dss.virginia.gov . Thank you.
