An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted in the center on June 4, 2019. The inspection was conducted from 9:30AM to 12:10PM. Reportedly, 35 children are currently enrolled in the program. There were 29 children observed during the inspection. The children were grouped in 3 classrooms. The ages of the children ranged from infancy to preschool. The center exceeded staff to child ratios in each group. The children were observed during outdoor play. Staff was observed with the infants outdoors for a ride in the stroller. The Toddler classroom played with sidewalk chalk, bubbles and at the sand table. The pre-K classroom played on the outdoor structure. Other observed activities included free play in the classrooms and individually selected centers. Staff were observed interacting with the children. Diapering and hand washing procedures were observed. A sample of 4 children's records was reviewed. A partial record was reviewed for one new staff. Complete staff records are maintained off site. Documentation of the annual fire and health inspections was reviewed; a fire inspection is due by the end of June. Medications were observed in the center. The physical plant was clean and orderly. Each classroom was supplied with age appropriate materials for the children. No violations of the licensing standards were found. Thank you for your assistance.
