Technical Assistance:
New subsidy requirements became effective on October 17, 2018: written policy and procedures to ensure consistent care and emergency plan/continuity of services. The facility is to review the new requirements and work with their assigned inspector to ensure future compliance.

Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on March 8, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety regulations. There were 49 children present. The ages of the children ranged from infancy to school-age. Each classroom/group and assigned staff was observed. Medications were observed in the center. A discussion was held with the Center Administrator regarding the new requirements, clarification was given. On March 12, 2019 the Administrator presented the center's plan of action for consistent care, group size training, allergy requirements, and post- disaster planning. As of this date, the plans have not been reviewed by the Licensing Inspector. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. If you have questions, please call (540)309-2310.
