A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted today from 7:30am to 8:55am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A total of 43 children were present with 4 caregivers. The children were engaged in the following: playing with blocks, playing basketball, playing tablet games, performing on stage lip syncing and dancing, and eating breakfast. Programming, menu, emergency procedures and drills, 6 medications, 3 allergy plans, 5 children?s records and 4 staff records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-580-F Description: Based on record review, 1 of 4 staff records reviewed did not contain documentation that all staff working directly with children have current CPR certification. Evidence: 1. Staff #4's CPR certification on file was valid from May 2017-May 2019. 2. The director stated Staff #4 has not completed updated CPR training within the last 2 years. Plan of Correction: Training is scheduled on 6/11/19 and the staff member will receive CPR training that day.
