The inspector conducted an unannounced mandated inspection from 11:40 until 1:45. There were 45 infants and children in care with staff supervising and maintaining ratios at all times. Infants were observed playing, being held, and napping. Children were observed playing inside, watching a video, playing at centers, washing hands before and after lunch, and eating lunch. Five children's records and five staff records were reviewed. Please contact your inspector at 276-698-9981 with any questions.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-G Description: Based on observation, the center did not clearly indicate contents of a hazardous substance not kept in the original container. Evidence: 1. The inspector observed a spray bottle not labeled as bleach water, and staff stated it was bleach water. Plan of Correction: Staff will mark the spray bottle.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-330-B Description: Based on measurement, the center did not maintain the required depth of resilient surfacing. Evidence: 1. The inspector measured the mulch and it was 2-4 inches around the slides and the equipment with moveable parts. Plan of Correction: The mulch will be raked and fluffed and more will be bought as needed.
