- Technical Assistance:

An annual health and safety training for subsidy providers is now on-line at the VA DSS web site and must be completed by 3/2020. It is in addition to the 10 hour Preservice training that has been completed for staff. Please refer to the October 2018 memo found under notices.
- Comments:

A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 5/28/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Areas reviewed include physical space, records review, emergency preparation, nutrition and programming. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
