Thank you for having your staff complete the 3 hours of additional Subsidy training.

A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted today to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date. A total of 189 children with 45 staff present today. Observation of all 14 classrooms was made. Staff interviews conducted and children observed finishing lunch and transitioning to nap time. The center was decorated throughout with artwork and projects focused on insects. Parts of the Insect was on display, hand painted insects were drying in the hallways. The topic of tunnels was discussed in one class and a cardboard tunnel project was created to educate the children on gravity, velocity and distance. Infants were either being held by staff while feeding. Hand washing, bathroom and behavioral guidance was observed during this inspection. A total of 10 children's records and 5 staff records were reviewed. Food allergies were identified, documented and staff stated this information is updated school wide on a monthly basis. The two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. This inspection began at approximately 10:45am and ended at 2:30pm. Thank you for your cooperation today.
