Children's records, health inspection, and the injury prevention plan was discussed.
- Comments:

An announced initial inspection was conducted today from 10:00am-1:00pm. There were no children on site during the time of inspection. The physical plant, 3 staff records, 4 children?s records, emergency supplies, and policies and procedures were inspected. Emergency drill, injury report, medication, and menu templates were also reviewed. Classrooms and playground space was measured. There was an abundance of books, toys, and materials, which were found to be developmentally appropriate for the children in care at the time of inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-70-A Description: Based on a review of staff records, 2 of 3 staff records did not contain all of the required information. Evidence: 1. Staff B's (date of hire: 4/24/2019) record did not contain documentation of the employee's highest level of education and two completed reference checks as to character and reputation. 2. Staff C's (date of hire: 6/3/2019) record did not contain documentation of two completed reference checks as to character and reputation. Plan of Correction: I will contact the employees' references and ask the employee to bring in proof of education as soon as possible.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-B Description: Based on center observation, the toileting areas did not maintain a sink with running warm water not to exceed 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Evidence: The sink water temperature in the children's bathroom was measured at 124 degrees Fahrenheit. Plan of Correction: We will adjust the water temperature.
