Comments:
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection, at which rest time, outdoor play, personal hygiene, story time, and afternoon snack time were observed. Children were observed; and staff and children files and other documentation were reviewed. Seventy-seven (77) children, aged 8 weeks-11 years, were found to be in care with 13 staff. Please contact me if you need further assistance. Thank you for your cooperation. This inspection began at 1:15pm and concluded at 2:45pm.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B
Description: Based on observations the facility failed to maintain compliance with this standard as required related to locking of hazardous items/areas. EVIDENCE: In the staff rest-room in the unlocked cabinet under the sink, there were 2 cans of Lysol. The door nor the cabinet were locked to prevent access to the children in care.

Plan of Correction: The cabinet will be locked and staff reminded to ensure the cabinet is locked after each use of the items stored there.
