Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted from 1:30pm-3:00pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 112 children in the direct care and supervision of 18 staff. The classrooms that are being used for the summer SACC program were measured and inspected. A sample of 10 children's records, 6 staff records, 6 emergency medications, emergency procedures, evacuation drills, and the physical plant were reviewed. The children were observed drawing, playing games, and participating in group activities. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. If you have any questions, please contact me at shahana.green@dss.virginia.gov .
