Discussion of the online form and process to be administered when a child needs outside medical attention as a result from an accident that occurred on site while in the care of the facility. Discussion of the need to follow up on the status of the out-of-state CPS checks sent for: Staff #5, Staff #9, and Staff #16.

The following inspection took place between the hours of 9:30 am through 12:30 pm. Today, I met with the Staff of Kiddie Academy of Moorefield Station located in Ashburn, Virginia. At the start of this unannounced non-mandated, focused monitoring inspection there were a total of 86 children with 16 staff; good ratios in all 9 rooms. A follow-up to the initial inspection (done on 05/14/2019) was conducted in order to review all areas that remained undetermined from that visit. A total of 21 staff background checks were reviewed. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observation, one area of the center, outside, was not maintained in an operable condition. Evidence - 1. On the date of inspection (07/03/2019), one of the windows within the Dolphin room that faces the playground has a screen that is torn. 2. The window was closed at the time of observation. Plan of Correction: The screen shall be removed and replaced (or repaired). In the meantime, this window shall remain closed.
