An unannounced complaint investigation regarding outdoor play time was conducted today. The Inspector completed staff interviews, a review of administrative documents, and observations of the physical plant today. After careful review of all available information, this complaint was deemed not valid. An unannounced monitoring inspection was also completed today. There were 37 children in care, with a total of 11 staff members assigned to their direct supervision. Children's records, staff records, background checks, staff training, emergency preparedness items, and children's medications were inspected today. The children were observed playing group games, playing with toys, and eating lunch. The children were served chicken nuggets, rice, honeydew melon, and milk for lunch today. This inspection was completed between approximately 9:45am and 12:10pm. Thank you for meeting with me today. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Complaint related: No Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that four records were not complete. Evidence: 1 - Children's records A, B, and E do not include documentation showing that each parent has reviewed their child's contact information within the past year. 2 - Child record C does not include "authorized pick up" information. Plan of Correction: Each parent will be asked for the missing information.
