Discussion of the subsidy regulations and how they apply to the Child Day Center (CDC).

Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted at the KinderCare Learning Center #344 located in Herndon, Virginia. This inspection was conducted on 07/17/2019, between the hours of 10 am through 3 pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An Unannounced Monitoring Inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that were not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and were identified on the violation notice. If you should have any questions, please call or e-mail. Description: Based on review, the lockdown procedure was not practiced annually. Evidence - 1. On the date of inspection (07/17/2019), the last lockdown drill was conducted on 05/30/2018. 2. This information was listed on the drill log for 2018. A current lockdown drill since that date has yet to be administered.

Plan of Correction: A lockdown drill shall be scheduled and conducted.
