The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 1:30pm to 3:30pm The children were observed resting on mats. The older school age class was observed having swim lesson at the on site pool. The pool was also inspected today. Five children?s records and five employee records were reviewed during this inspection. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Last emergency drill: 06/24/2019 Shelter-in-place drill: 03/19/2019 Last fire inspection: 1/10/2019 Last health inspection: 11/27/2018 Total enrollment today: 56 Today, the following child to staff ratios were observed: Two's ?14:3 Pre-K-18:2 School Age I (kindergarten-first grade)-13:2 School Age II (2nd -5th grade)?21:2 If you have any questions about this inspection, please contact the licensing inspector, Roshon Casey, at (804) 662-9760.

Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-B-3 Description: Based on a review of staff records on 07/17/2019, the center did not ensure that a search of the central registry maintained by any other state in which the individual has resided in the preceding five years had been requested within 30 days of employment. EVIDENCE: The record of Staff #1, whose date of hire was 04/15/2019, contained documentation that Staff #1 had lived in a state outside of Virginia in the past five years. The record did not contain documentation that the request of a child abuse and neglect registry for that state had been submitted Plan of Correction: Will request the search today.
