Comments:
An unannounced, mandated renewal inspection was conducted today. The inspector arrived at 10:30 AM and departed at 11:45 AM. Eleven children were in care with three staff and the family services worker. Activities, participation in interest centers and outdoor play were observed. A sample size of five children's records were reviewed. Currently there is no medication stored for administration to children in care. Four staff records and six administrator/board member records were reviewed at the central office. An exit interview was conducted with the program director and administrator prior to closure of the inspections.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-C
Description: Based upon review of four staff records, the facility has not ensured that results of a tuberculosis screening are obtained for all staff at least every two years from the first initial screening. Evidence: The most recent tuberculosis screening in the record of staff 3 is from June 2017.

Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following: All staff will be required to obtain documentation of a tuberculosis screening at least every two years.
