A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted today from 10:55am-1:15pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A total of 61 children were present with 12 caregivers. The children were engaging in age appropriate center play and listening to story time. Infant care including feeding and diapering procedures were observed. School age children were off site on a field trip. Programming, menus, emergency procedures and drills, 5 medications, allergy action plans, and 7 children?s records and 4 staff records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
