Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 07.30.19 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted between 9:00am- 1:00pm. Upon arrival there were 89 children in care. A sample of 7 children and 1 staff record was reviewed in addition to 1 medication. Children were observed during lunch. Infants were observed sleeping in cribs, being fed and held by staff. One infant was sleeping in a swing. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

Description: Based on a record review and interview the vendor did not ensure the emergency preparedness plan included a continuity of operations procedures to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency. Evidence: The vendor's emergency plan did not include a procedure to address the continuity of operations procedures to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency. The program director confirmed that the plan did not contain this procedure and she was unsure what the procedure was.

Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the vendor during the exit interview: The director called her supervisor during the inspection and made plans to create and incorporate this procedure into their emergency plans.
