An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted between 9:30am-11:30am. Upon arrival there were 78 children in care with 13 staff. A sample of 7 children's records and 4 staff records were reviewed, in addition to 2 medications. Children were observed during toileting and circle time.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on a record review the center did not ensure all required information was kept for each child. Evidence: Child #1 ( start date 09/04/18) , #3 (start date 10/01/18) and #4 (start 07/07/18) did not have complete emergency contacts. Plan of Correction: Management will partner with Compliance team to draft written emergency management plan for the pool by 8/15/2019
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-290-3 Description: Based on observation the center did not ensure all electrical outlets had protective covers. Evidence: There was an electrical outlet in the gym that did not have a protective cover. Plan of Correction: This was corrected during visit. The safety Captain will continue to complete all daily and weekly safety checklists and facility inspections to ensure that all center areas and equipment are kept in a safe condition. Any deficiencies will be reported to management within 24 hours. Management and DM will do periodic inspections to ensure compliance.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-480-A Description: Based on a record review and interview the center did not have emergency procedures for swimming. Evidence: The center has a pool on their property for use by the children. The designated person-in-charge/Assistant Director confirmed the center did not have emergency procedures for swimming. Plan of Correction: This was corrected on 7/30/2019. All current files will be reviewed and all necessary information completed by 8/23/2019. Prior to first day of attendance, management will schedule and complete paperwork appointments to ensure that all children?s files are complete. Management will periodically inspect to ensure compliance.
