A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with a licensing renewal inspection with the center director from 11:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. SHSI requirements were reviewed. Staff training including Virginia Preservice and CPR/First Aid were reviewed. Emergency drills including lock down drills was reviewed. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-550-2 Description: Based on review of documentation, the vendor failed to notify the department's representative within two business days of any injury to a child while under the vendor's supervision when outside medication treatment is necessary. Evidence: In Child #5's record there was an injury report and staff statement regarding an injury that occurred on July 11, 2019. This injury required outside medical treatment and was not reported within two business days. Plan of Correction: The injury report notification was completed during the inspection and in the future all injuries requiring outside medical treatment will be reported within the required timeframe.
