Discussed the use of utensils with this age group and serving meals "family style".

An unannounced Renewal inspection was conducted this date. A total of 23 children with 8 staff present in the two classrooms. Observation of morning programming, hand washing procedures, lunch and transition to nap time was made. Lunch today was meatballs, green beans and baked potato. Walk through of the entire center was conducted. Documentation of daily progress for the infants were current. Tummy time and food consumption documentation was complete. A total of 2 medications on site today. Authorizations for each were found complete. Staff observed engaged with the children, sitting on the floor, playing, singing and feeding them. Staff also observed singing to the children in a circle in the Infant 1 class and rotating the infants frequently to maintain stimulation. Three infants observed sleeping in cribs today. The older infants were observed sleeping on cots with staff sitting next to them to ensure supervision. A total of 6 staff records and annual training and 5 children's records were reviewed and found complete. Thank you for your cooperation today.
