A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted today at 10:30am to 1:20pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 72 children under the supervision of 12 staff. Children were observed playing individually and in groups, participating in circle time, playing outside, getting ready for lunch and napping. There were 3 medications on site today. There was a sufficient supply of books, toys, and materials that were developmentally appropriate for the children in care. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-780-A-3 Description: Based on review, the facility failed to ensure that lockdown procedures shall be practiced at least annually. Evidence: Reviewed the emergency preparedness drill log and found that the last lockdown drill was conducted in July of 2018. Plan of Correction: A lockdown drill will be held by 8/16/2019
